Dear Sir/Mdm
Re: FIRST LEGO® League Singapore 2009
Heartware Network has the privilege of being the Operational Partner of FIRST LEGO® League (FLL) this year.
Every year, FLL works with experts in the field to create a Challenge that relates to a significant real-world issue. The end result is a two-part Challenge that requires research to complete The Project, and science and engineering to master the complex missions of The Robot Game.
The FLL theme for this year “Smart Move”, calls for teams of participants, aged 9 to 16, to innovate solutions in transportation using robotics. The key to the 2009 “Smart Move” Challenge is accessing people, places, goods and services in the safest, most efficient way possible. JOIN FLL ASEAN 2009 and be part of this exciting journey to think out of the box as you consider many modes of transportation beyond their daily routine and streamline their options by making smart moves.
The eleventh FLL season will engage more teams than ever before, with more than 135,000 children in 45 countries competing in hundreds of qualifying events and Championship Tournaments to win honors and the chance to participate at the FIRST LEGO® League World Festival, to be held in conjunction with the FIRST Championship, April 15-17, 2010 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
FLL ASEAN ‘Smart Move’ will be held on early December 2009 (venue to be confirmed) from 8am to 7pm. JOIN FLL ASEAN 2009 by completing the Registration Form as attached. This year’s registration is limited to the first 60 registered teams so hurry and register now!
If you would like to support the event in other ways (e.g. sponsorship of venue, cash, in-kind, or even volunteering your precious time for the children of FLL), please call our office at 6259 4414 or email “fll@heartware-network.org”.
Yours sincerely
Kevin Wong
